Isabel and her team organised an amazing ‘celebration evening’ to mark the end of the teachers’ visit and to thank everyone involved. The party was hosted by St Leonards CE Primary Academy, with Yvonne, Yvette and their friends providing a superb Sierra Leonean meal. With lots of our London Association friends coming down, together with friends of the Link, the hall was packed. A terrific video put together by Grace King showed just how much was achieved during the week. After the meal Grace, with Lizzie Noble, introduced to guests to Bingo (with a special Link slant), and then Isabel gave each of the SL teachers a little gift to thank them for their own special contribution to the success of the visit. She thanked all those who had contributed to that success – and Roger pointed out that it was of course Isabel’s tremendous work over many weeks that made the whole enterprise possible.
