Hastings Sierra Leone Friendship Link

Spreading the word at the Hastings Centre’s monthly fair

The Link was very kindly invited by Andy Moule of King’s Church to have a stall at the church’s October monthly fair. It meant we could talk to people about what the Link does and about the Schools’ Sanitation Project.  We were made the beneficiaries of the entrance fees that the public paid, and the 40-odd stallholders made generous contributions, too.  The stall looked terrrific, with the four colourful banners publicising the Sanitation Project, and lots of equally colourful Sierra Leonean handicraft.  There are still plenty of aprons, cushion covers, dresses and bum bags – they’d make great Christmas presents! If you’re interested, contact Robin on secretary.hslfl@gmail.com.

Martin and Lily staff the stall, while Roger buttonholes the bargain-hunters as they come in
