I’m sorry I didn’t post the results of the Music Quiz in September. The theme was TV, with lots of clever clues that included theme tunes from adverts, sit coms and detective shows. The evening raised £571 for the Sanitation Project. This year there was an unusually exciting finish. Ladies Gone Gaga had played their Joker early on, and so (as they were consistently doing well) led the leader board right up to Round 9. Then The 78s drew level by the end of Round 9 – and snatched a breathtaking victory in Round 10, winning 96 to 95.

Even the Picture Round had a nail-biting finish. There were three teams with perfect scores: Saucy Girls, Top of the Pops and The 78s. Lesley-Ann had to come up with an impromptu tie-breaker: When was the first year that the UK got nul points in the Eurovision? The 78s got closest and carried off that little prize, too!
